The sun is shining, the grass is getting greener, and there is a renewed energy in our hallways! Spring has officially arrived, and with it comes a very busy and exciting stretch for our students.<\/p>\n
This Friday marks the end of the third quarter. We encourage all families to log into PowerSchool this weekend to review your child\u2019s academic progress and attendance records. It\u2019s the perfect time to celebrate successes and identify areas where extra focus might be needed as we head into the final stretch of the school year.<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t miss our incredibly talented students in this year\u2019s spring musical! It is sure to be an enchanting weekend of performance.<\/p>\n
Showtimes: Friday & Saturday at 7:00 PM | Sunday at 2:00 PM<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Students & Seniors: $5<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Adults: $15 in advance | $20 at the door<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
We begin our formal assessment season on April 28th. Please keep the following in mind:<\/p>\n
IB Assessments: Many of our seniors are taking multiple IB assessments, which are often two-day exams. Please note that only seniors sit for these exams; our juniors are currently in Year 1 of their two-year courses and will take their assessments next year.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
AP Exams: These exams are fully digital this year. Students must ensure their laptops are fully charged and ready for testing.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Success Strategy: To enhance “brain power,” we recommend students prioritize a good night\u2019s rest, consistent hydration, and balanced nutrition during testing weeks.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Science Research Symposium: Thursday, April 23rd. This is a wonderful celebration of our award-winning program. Our sophomores will be presenting to an audience for the first time! If you are interested in learning more about this prestigious program, we highly encourage you to attend.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
National Honor Society Induction Ceremony: Wednesday, April 29th. We look forward to honoring our newest members and their commitment to scholarship, service, leadership, and character.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
4th Annual Celebration of Film:\u00a0 Thursday, May 14th.\u00a0 PV\u2019s film fest will feature works by our IB Film students, as well as many pieces produced in the TV Production class.\u00a0 This is a highly entertaining evening showcasing our talented filmmakers, who created technically advanced, professionally produced films.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
As we enter the final quarter of the year, we look for your continued support in helping our students “cross the finish line” strong. Please take a moment to talk with your children about good decision-making, staying safe, and lifting up those around them who may need a little extra support.<\/p>\n
