Dear Putnam Valley Community,<\/p>\n
At last Thursday\u2019s Board of Education meeting, we officially marked the beginning of our annual budget development season. The January 8 presentation serves as an initial preview of the budget development process, and a recording of the meeting is available on our website.\u00a0Click here.<\/a><\/p>\n Each year, we work diligently to develop a budget that is fiscally responsible to our community while remaining firmly grounded in our shared CORE values of\u00a0community,\u00a0opportunity,\u00a0resiliency, and\u00a0empowerment\u2014always keeping students at the center of our work.<\/p>\n Additional budget discussions will take place at upcoming Board of Education meetings and will focus on specific areas of our district:<\/p>\n January 22: Curriculum<\/p>\n<\/li>\n February 12: Athletics and Technology<\/p>\n<\/li>\n February 26: Facilities and Special Education<\/p>\n<\/li>\n March 12: Overall Budget Presentation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Board of Education meetings are held in the High School cafeteria, begin at 7:00 p.m., are open to the public, and livestreamed on our\u00a0pvcsd.org<\/a>\u00a0website. Recordings of past meetings are also available\u00a0online<\/a>.<\/p>\n The budget vote and Board of Education election will be held on\u00a0Tuesday, May 20, at\u00a0Putnam Valley Elementary School.<\/p>\n Looking ahead to next week, I invite you to join me for a\u00a0Superintendent\u2019s Listening Hour on January 22, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the High School library. This informal meeting is an opportunity to ask questions and share perspectives.
