In fact, there is great concern that unchecked screen use can seriously affect cognitive executive functioning and emotional well being of young people. In our schools, we have daily encounters with students who are misusing\u00a0social media or have been hurt by words and\u00a0memes\u00a0produced by others. How do we provide the kind of support and structure that will help our children with this challenge and reality of today&#8217;s world? How can we develop productive and civil digital citizens?\u00a0 We can learn together and encourage each other in this quest.
