400;\">Fall has finally arrived and October is upon us!\u00a0 We have had a spectacular start to our school year and your children have been amazing.\u00a0 Please keep in mind that it\u2019s the time of year for cooler temperatures, falling leaves,\u00a0 and pumpkins.\u00a0 The sun is setting earlier and earlier and it is dark before we know it.\u00a0 Our early mornings are full of darkness and Halloween is right around the corner.\u00a0 With all of these changes, please remind your children to dress appropriately for these dropping temperatures as they wait for their buses in the morning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thank you to all that were able to come out to our <\/span><b>Back to School Night(s)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and partnering with us in your child\u2019s educational journey.\u00a0 If you would like to schedule a meeting with your child&#8217;s teachers, please contact the teacher directly and\/or the team leader on the grade level\u00a0 to set up a day that works for everyone.\u00a0 Topics of these meetings may range from academic, social and emotional, or just letting teachers know who your child is as a learner.\u00a0 Since we do not have scheduled parent teacher conferences like our elementary school, I highly encourage you to reach out and schedule these meetings at your convenience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some of<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1kyWX9F_pKRfL59gjjAO9XW5tMQP5unyVBzVO7Tlfnz0\/edit?usp=sharing\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> our clubs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> have started and many more will start this month.\u00a0 We always encourage students to expand their horizons in trying new things and this is a wonderful opportunity to do so.\u00a0 Eighth grade students that may qualify for National Junior Honor Society can expand on their experiences and application requirements by joining modified sports and joining clubs.\u00a0 Many of our clubs run in the afternoon but some run in the morning so there is a need to be dropped off at 7:00AM.\u00a0 Please sign your child up prior to attending and remember students can<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeacYYUJgYr0Y3nbV-Liz9UvtTQ5ug4CHdiZu_EnaneUOmGNg\/viewform?ts=60f97f87\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> sign up <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for as many as they would like to.\u00a0 Students will take the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pvcsd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/resources\/pdf\/transportation\/415_loop_run_530_sports_run.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> loop bus<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that runs home or must be picked up by parents\/guardians at 4:15PM.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our <\/span><b>Student Council<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> speeches and elections were held on Friday, September 27th in our HS PAC.\u00a0 Congratulations to all of our students who campaigned and had the courage to give speeches in front of our eighth grade student body.\u00a0 We are so proud of you all!\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following candidates have been elected to the student council for the 2024-2025 school year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>5th grade representatives<br \/>\n<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ryan Byrd, Isabella Cruz, and Jayden Specht<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please note that our first <\/span><b>Student of the Month<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> recognition will be focused on what it means to be principled.\u00a0 We look at this attribute along with the 9 other attributes for nominating students. \u00a0 Our breakfast will take place on <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday, October 18th from\u00a0 8-8:30AM in the Dining Hall <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and is through invitation only.\u00a0 A continued thank you to our PTA\u00a0 for sponsoring this
