Dear Parents and Guardians,<\/p>\n
In accordance with recent amendments to New York State Law, school districts must notify parents\/guardians of upcoming lockdown drills.\u00a0 The district is required to hold at least four lockdown drills each school year.\u00a0 These drills provide students and staff with an opportunity to practice our security and safety protocols in a trauma-informed and age-appropriate manner.\u00a0 All drills are announced prior to commencement so that students and staff are aware of the current situation.\u00a0 Please let this letter serve as notice of an upcoming lockdown drill in the High School.<\/p>\n
We have an excellent support staff at the high school.\u00a0 If your child is struggling with anxiety or stress, please remind them about our student support suite and our guidance counselors and that we are here to help in any way.<\/p>\n
