Good Afternoon Putnam Valley Community:<\/p>\n
Well, the weather forecast has been accurate. It is hot outside!\u00a0 Rest assured that we are closely monitoring the health and safety of our students.\u00a0 As deemed necessary, outdoor activities may be moved indoors.\u00a0 Putnam Valley\u2019s long-term investment in sustainable energy, specifically the installation of geothermal heating and cooling in each of our buildings, affords our students and staff building-wide air conditioning.\u00a0 While many Districts in our region are currently exploring alternative learning spaces and truncated schedules, our schools will remain open for our students and staff.<\/p>\n
At this time, the High School Graduation is scheduled to begin at 7 pm on the High School Turf.\u00a0 The ceremony will be live-streamed into our High School Performing Arts Center for those who need a break from the heat.\u00a0 We will continue to monitor both the heat index and the possibility of inclement weather on Friday and communicate any potential changes to our ceremony.<\/p>\n
