We are approaching the final month of the school year, and we are so thankful for your support and partnership.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to our many Community Readers, including many school retirees, who visited our classrooms to read to our students. It was wonderful to have so many guest readers in the building. Thank you to the PTA for providing breakfast treats for all, and thank you to Mrs. Dawn Vaccaro who designed yet another beautiful book poster for this event. We appreciate the community spirit. It was a great day!<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to our fourth-grade students who did such an outstanding job performing at the 4<sup>th<\/sup> Grade Spring Concert this past week! The bands and the chorus sounded terrific! Thank you again to Mrs. Calhoun and to Mrs. Bennett for your wonderful work with these students!<\/p>\n<p>It will soon be PVES Spirit Week, which take place from Monday, June 10<sup>th<\/sup> through Friday, June 14<sup>th<\/sup>. Please note our Theme Days for this special week:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>Monday, June 10th<\/u><\/strong><strong>:\u00a0 Crazy Hat &amp; Hair Day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>Tuesday, June 11th<\/u><\/strong><strong>: Blue and White (Extra) Day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>Wednesday, June 12th<\/u><\/strong><strong>: Silly Socks and Style Day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>Thursday, June 13th<\/u><\/strong><strong>: Red, White &amp; Blue Day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>Friday, June 14th<\/u><\/strong><strong>: Field Day shirts (Grade Level Colors)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thank you to the many parents who brought their children to vote in our PVES Kids\u2019 Vote on Tuesday. The Ice Pops won the majority of the votes for Field Day, but the true learning took place through the classroom Civic Engagement lessons and the voting experience itself. And thank you to our community for your support with the district budget vote. Our students are thriving.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking forward to our Sustainability Fair during the week of June 3<sup>rd<\/sup> through June 7<sup>th<\/sup>. Each grade level will have one day for these outdoor rotations. Please see the attached flyer, along with other important notices.<\/p>\n<p>Please be reminded that there will be no school on Wednesday, June 19<sup>th<\/sup>, in honor of Juneteenth. Our elementary students will have half-days (12:00 dismissals) on Tuesday, June 25<sup>th<\/sup> and June 26<sup>th <\/sup>, the last day of the school year. \u00a0Our Fourth-Grade Moving Up Ceremony will be held on June 24<sup>th<\/sup>, with all attendees needing a ticket to enter. (There will be a limit of three tickets per family due to space regulations). Ticket information will be sent to fourth-grade families soon.<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy the unofficial start to the summer season, and especially that outdoor time with your young children. They just love spending time with you.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great week ahead!
