We conducted one of our state-mandated lockdown drills today.\u00a0 We continue to try and mirror the process\u00a0we would encounter in a real lockdown situation.\u00a0 This particular drill involved the lockdown being called at the middle school and then relayed to the high school.\u00a0 Deputy Meury led a joint force of Putnam County, Carmel Police, and State Troopers.\u00a0 Law enforcement checked to ensure all doors were locked and classes were quiet and safe before giving an all-clear.\u00a0 Our partnership with local law enforcement enables different police groups to become familiar with our building and provide us with important feedback about what they observed.\u00a0 We want to thank all departments involved for their assistance in the drill.\u00a0 The lockdown ran smoothly and lasted approximately 15 minutes.<\/p>\n
