Happy November! We have a quick and busy month ahead, so please be sure to check our school calendar very carefully.<\/p>\n
This week, schools will be closed for students on Tuesday, November 8th<\/sup><\/u> (Superintendent\u2019s Conference Day\/Parent Teacher Conferences) and on Friday, November 11th<\/sup><\/u> (Veteran\u2019s Day). Please also be reminded that the Elementary students have two Half Days in November: Tuesday, November 22nd<\/sup> and Wednesday, November 23rd<\/sup> (due to the Parent Teacher Conference Schedules). If you have not signed up for conferences with your child\u2019s teachers yet, please email them today. If you have any questions, please contact me at mpodesta@pvcsd.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n At these 1st<\/sup> Quarter Parent Conferences, classroom teachers will review student work and progress, and parents will be provided with brief Progress Reports for this first part of the school year. This is an excellent time to ask questions and to help set learning goals for the next quarter. Formal Report Cards will be distributed at the midpoint of the year, in early February. Our students are working so hard, and we look forward to supporting them in the months ahead!<\/p>\n Our Scholastic Book Fair will take place at PVES during the week of November 14th-18th. Each class has a set time to visit the Fair during that week. Thank you to our PTA volunteers who help to run this event so smoothly.<\/p>\n Our PVES Gym Show will take place on Wednesday, November 16th<\/sup> at 7:00 PM. Thank you to Mrs. Aurigemma and Mr. Heitman for their efforts with our amazing student-athletes. We are all looking forward to this exciting performance.<\/p>\n If your child was absent on our School Picture Day, or if you would like a retake, our Picture Retake Day will be held on Monday, November 28th<\/sup>. More information will follow.<\/p>\n We look forward to seeing you at the Parent\/Teacher Conferences throughout the month.
