Hello Parents and Guardians,<\/p>\n
We have had an incredibly positive start to our school year.\u00a0 There is a different vibe in the building that may be attributed to beginning the school year without the restrictions of the past few years.\u00a0 Our Big Buddies and Freshman Foundations programs have welcomed our freshmen to the high school, defined what it means to ASPIRE to be a Putnam Valley graduate, and will continue to work with them all year long.\u00a0 Attitude is contagious and our seniors are happy, excited, and positive about leading the school community to great achievements inside and outside of the classroom.<\/p>\n
We have some new faces in the building.\u00a0 Mrs. Elizabeth Palermo joins our math department.\u00a0 Mrs. Sharon Lum will be extending Mandarin into our IB program allowing for more flexibility in our World Language department.\u00a0 Mrs. Judilcia Perez joins our Student Support Suite as a bilingual social worker.\u00a0 Mr. Nick Lapadula joins us as a campus monitor.\u00a0 We also welcome Dr. Letitia Payne to the high school.\u00a0 Dr. Payne served as the assistant principal at the middle school for the past two years and will continue as the assistant principal at the high school.\u00a0 She brings a wealth of knowledge of RTI\/MTSS, special education, and our current 9th and 10th grade students.\u00a0 Oh, and the wonderful Mr. Matt Mello has moved into the position of high school principal.<\/p>\n

PVHS Website<\/a><\/p>\n We are ready to open our doors to parents next week with our annual Back to School Night on Thursday, September 29th. Doors will open at 5:45pm. Dr. Payne and I will have a welcome message at 6:00 in the Performing Arts Center.\u00a0 You will then follow your child\u2019s MONDAY A- DAY schedule.
