\"StarfishDear PVMS Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

We have made it to the home stretch of the school year as June is upon us and many of our students have summer on their minds.\u00a0 Although we will be on summer vacation starting the week of June 27th, we are still engaged in vital learning opportunities and assessments through our last day on June 24th.\u00a0 Please note that June 23rd and 24th will be half days for students and we will be dismissing at 11:00AM on those days.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you for adapting to the ever changing demands of this school year as we continue to see illness impacting our daily lives.\u00a0 We have seen a rise in cases of the flu and Covid over the last few weeks.\u00a0 Your partnership with us has been vital in continuing to provide the best education possible for our students through these challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n

As we finish up the school year, I want to take the time to commend those students and families that saw the opportunity to take NYS assessments in preparation for standardized assessments that our students will encounter in the near future.\u00a0 Our mathematics, reading, and science assessments present a framework that will only better prepare students for what is to come in high school and to show off their knowledge. \u00a0 We will continue to work through the remainder of the school year and over the summer to ensure our curriculum and programs continue to educate the whole child.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eighth grade will have a final exam schedule that will begin on June 14th. Our Eighth Grade Moving Up Ceremony will be taking place on Thursday, June 23rd at 5:00PM in the High School Performing Arts Center.\u00a0 This will be followed by a Moving Up Dance at Cortlandt Colonial from 7:00 – 9:30PM.<\/span><\/p>\n
