Our students and faculty are really on the home stretch of this amazing school year, and we are so proud of how we have all worked together through incredible times. Your children are doing so well, with attendance records truly exceptional in our building right now! We will finish the year strong, with more great learning and progress ahead. Thank you for your ongoing support, especially during this very busy time of year.

Congratulations to our third and fourth graders who completed their NYS Math tests this past week. Our students were so well prepared for these exams, and they continue to build confidence and stamina in all that they do. Our fourth graders will be taking the NYS Science test at the end of this month, complete with the hands-on, experimental portion of the exam. Fourth grade teachers will send additional information.

We are looking forward to the Third Grade Recorder Concert on this Thursday evening, May 5th. Third grade families are invited to our PVES Auditorium at 7:00 PM. We are so happy to have these events back on the calendar!

The Gym Show will be held on the evening of Tuesday, May 10th. All Gym Show participants’ families have received emails from our physical education teachers with more detailed practice information. The fourth-grade classes will be welcoming parents on this Thursday for Colonial Day! Our Kindergarten classes will also be hosting special events for Mother’s Day this week. I also see many Secret Readers in our school. Thank you for your all-important partnership in your child’s education!

This week is Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week! Please join us in showing your appreciation for our amazing teachers, and for all the adults who work with your children every day. I want to personally thank our amazing elementary faculty for overcoming such unique challenges over the past couple of years. Our school has continued to stay open, provide uninterrupted instruction, and to support our students as they learn and truly thrive! We have an incredible staff who creates the positive, engaging, and effective learning environment that PVES is. Let’s show our appreciation, especially this week!

And thank you, too!
