Dear Putnam Valley Community:

On Thursday afternoon,Putnam Valley’s middle and high school teachers played their best for the Make a Difference Club leading a Food Drive for the Make a Difference Club. In fact, the club earned another $1,000 award from Altice( Formerly Cablevision) for the charity work the club has performed this year. Please join me in saluting the volunteer work of our students and their remarkable advisor, Linda Cefaloni, who is retiring this year. I am attaching an email from Mrs. Cefaloni to her colleagues.  It is an example of the partnerships that make Putnam Valley so special

Enjoy a beautiful weekend.
Sincerely,
Fran Wills

Dear MS and HS Staff Charity Champions,

I want to thank all of you for your heartfelt participation in our Volleyball fundraiser, “Volley for the Valley”, yesterday. It was great fun for a wonderful cause and a tie score means we all gave our best effort as Champions for Charity!
I was very proud to stand with you as Altice, USA  presented the $1000 check to our Putnam Valley Community Food Pantry on behalf of all three schools in the Putnam Valley School District. Today was one more memory we created together with our students and each other.
My email signature has a quote from Mother Theresa.
“What you can do, I cannot. What I can do you cannot, but together we can do something beautiful….”.  Truly, yesterday was proof that each of us has different talents, and working together, relying on each, and trusting in the power of kindness, so much can be achieved.  Thank you for Making a Difference yesterday for the Putnam Valley Food Pantry, for me over the years, and for modeling the spirit of volunteerism for our students.
My best regards,
Linda
