The PVHS Music Department presents its biennial Great Works Concert, The Civil War, featuring selected musical works by the High School Wind Ensemble along with the Mixed and Concert Choirs.

On Sunday February 24, The Putnam Valley High School Music Department, with friends and special guests, performed a Jazz Benefit Concert at the Bean Runner Cafe in Peekskill NY. Leading the band was PVHS 2012-13 jazz artist-in-residence Ray Blue who has earned international success as a performer and clinician. Throughout the evening's two musical sets, many students from the Putnam Valley High School Jazz Band also performed in addition to other local community musicians. The music was swingin', spirits were high, and the cafe was packed. The event raised over $600 for SuperStorm Sandy Relief and served as the kick-off to a week-long fundraiser for the PVFT (Putnam Valley Federation of Teachers) who will continue to raise money for this cause.
